Smart Return Bin Emptying Procedure

• When the light on the SRB is RED, this is an indicator of the bin being full and should be a trigger for staff to empty the bin.

• Notifications will be sent to operators at 80% and 100% capacity

1. Unlock and open the side panel of the smart return bin. It is best to do both sides separately to properly trigger an Emptying of the Bin on the back end

2. Slide the liners out completely

3. Remove any containers and collect them as directed by your Operations Team, being mindful of any debris in the liner. Replace or clean the liner as needed.

4. Insert the liner back into the bin by sliding it in. Be careful not to kick or nudge with your foot, as this may create misalignment with the sensors

5. Repeat Steps 1-4 on the other side of the bin
